I’d put off learning to drive for as long as possible convincing myself I just wasn’t a driver. I would only have felt at ease with an instructor with a calm and patient approach to teaching and certainly Graham ticked both boxes. His approach looks at breaking driving down and providing solutions for situations that may arise allowing you confidently and safely deal with them as they come without worry. Its a great balance of high standards and a friendly approach which means when the test arrives you’re totally prepared. Great for me as I passed first time! I remember, when initially looking for a driving instructor, on checking your website, we were impressed with the feedback from your students.  In addition, we really liked the structure of the log book which showed each week, what went well, areas for improvement and next steps. 

Everyone has different learning styles and it's great that you have a questionnaire that determines the learning style to teach for each individual student.  I believe that makes such a difference to the way in which people learn. His lessons are always organised and he is able to adjust them to help practice any aspects of your driving that are a bit weaker. I can highly recommend Graham May as a driving instructor. As an older learner, who had continuously put off learning to drive, I was very nervous about my ability. Graham never pressured me out of my comfort zone and was a patient and kind instructor. He was very understanding when we had to move lessons to suit my work hours and by the time I came to sit my test, I was as confident as anyone can be under test circumstances. I would recommend Graham to anyone wanting to learn to drive due to his patience. He is prepared to spend time to get to know you and work out how to get the best out of your driving. His relaxed, upbeat nature and ability to comment on good aspects of your driving rather than focus on negatives makes the lesson fly by. Straight from the get go Graham was an excellent driving instructor and would highly recommend him! Even before you start driving he would find out what the best way for you to learn was, be it with visual aids, reading or just doing it etc just so you would get the most from your lessons. He is always very clear and thorough with every instruction and made sure you were comfortable and happy with every individual aspect of it before you moved on.
